Project-ION is designed to connect college students with regional internship opportunities. Our site provides a hub for students to find significant internships that allow them to gain hands-on experience in their field of study.
During the summer of 2006, Project-ION had more than 3,500 applicants apply for 622 internships across a variety of career fields. With the support and funding available from Key Bank, and a partnership with Pipeline 4 Progress Network, we will foster internship opportunities and provide support to regional employers, colleges and universities and Upstate New York’s talented students.
To make the process easy and productive for your company, Project-ION provides a clearinghouse for regional internship opportunities, access to 44 colleges and universities (and the 210,000 students they educate), and social and cultural opportunities for peer-networking among the intern demographic.
If you already provide internships, please consider listing them on the Project-ION website. If you’ve never hosted an intern before, we have developed a handbook that is designed to help you create a quality internship program.
Project-ION's Internship postings are managed by EssentialNYJobs.com. EssentialNYJobs.com accepts internship postings as well as part-time and full-time job openings.
If you already have an account at EssentialNYJobs.com you can use that account for posting an internship to Project-ION. If you do not have an account, you can apply for one for free.
